How do I take the area of light the flash made on my image off through Photoshop CS5?
I took photos of other pictures in an annual, and there is too much shine on them because of the flash. How do I get rid of it?
That’s almost impossible. That bright area is actually an area with no pixel information, it’s over exposed or washed out. There’s no data to retrieve by using the various enhancements, but you CAN try using Image>Adjustment>exposure (it may be a little diffferent in CS5, I use CS4). If it’s not completely washed out, you may be able to enhance the image/retrieve image info this way. You may need to select the particular area and then work a blend between the adjusted area and the rest of the image. Also try an Adjustment Layer, rather than working directly on the base layer, because if you do that, you will be permanently altering the pixels in the original image. In fact, it’s a good idea to try things on a COPY of the original, rather than working on the original.
Good luck.
