
Introduction To The Annual Bangkok Florist Show In Thailand
Every year, within the last twenty years Bangkok has hosted one of the most important florist shows in Asia. Thanpuying Lursakdi Sampatsiri is the coordinator of this event that had been formally launched by Her Royal Highness Princess Srirasm.
Typically this Bangkok florist show has been hosted by many famous celebrities, fortune tellers and Buddhist monks who aim to clarify and even illustrate the magical properties of several of the flowers being offered.
In the coming 2011 this flower show will be located at the Nai Lert Park, Bangkok, and the features of the show involve:
- Floristry contest, exhibiting and judging of floral arrangements performed by locally schooled
- Bangkok florists – Performance by “Nuvo”
- Shopping Sale – at the hotel
- Flower Sale – 100s of flower arrangements on exhibit and sale
- Thai culinary lessons
2010 Bangkok Florist Show Report
In 2010 the Bangkok florist show was co-hosted by Thai-European model Sonia Couling and Mr Srikhumrung Yugala. Event visitors were treated to free flower arranging lessons by several Bangkok’s top florists. Event visitors were also able to attend cooking classes and event visitors were treated to some free culinary delights which were on offer.
The Bangkok florist event was begun by Srikhumrung Yugala the “Hi-So” daughter of the Swissotel hotel entrepreneur and Bangkok company tycoon. The concept of the flower display is both in admiration of the appeal of flowers and a high-class public gathering.
The Bangkok Florist Show is put on each year at the Swissotel Nai Lat Park in the beautiful city of Bangkok positioned in between Ploenchit and Chidlom BTS stations. The outstanding venue showcases plenty of shopping and dining locations as well as over eight acres of tropical plants and trees, and along with three hundred forty (340) exceptional hotel rooms.
